Mission

The mission allotted to the C.I.I.A by the founders is to intensify the international co-operation for the promotion of agricultural and food industries in the scientific, technical and economic fields.

It achieves this mission through:

- Its international vocation: Organization with international vocation, the CIIA has mission of being the spokesman of agricultural and food industries in the specialized agencies of the United Nations auprès of which it has an advisory statute.

- Its intergovernmental statute: The members of the CIIA are States for which it constitutes a pole of meeting, dialog, reflection and action narrow enconcertation with its associate members.

- Its promotional role: The CIIA has associate members who can be universities, institutes and research centers and companies which, at the national or international level, have in their objectives the reinforcement of their knowledge and a desire of meeting with the various protagonists of agro-alimentary development. They can thus profit from the effects of synergy due to the joint actions concluded between public authorities and industrial companies.
